November is the time when we take a moment to honor our servicemen and women who have fought bravely and selflessly for our freedom. While Veteran’s Day is the official day to pay homage to these brave men and women, we can celebrate them all month. And what better way to honor these great heroes than by having a military themed party. If your little one’s birthday is this month, host an exciting armed forces themed party.
Start by decorating your venue in military style camouflage colors and patterns. Earth tones like green, brown and khaki are the most popular colors for military themed parties. Camouflage table settings, backdrops, garlands and banners can be used to create a great military scene. Add green tents to create an authentic looking base.
Once you have decorated your venue, it’s time to plan the entertainment. Military training often involves challenging obstacle courses for the soldiers to race through. Create your own course using climbing walls, ropes, tires, and tunnels. The kids will have a great time racing each other through the obstacles to the finish line. At Xtreme Inflatable Rentals of LA, we have several exciting inflatable obstacle courses that are guaranteed to thrill and challenge your crowd.
For older kids and teenagers, we have a portable rock climbing wall that is the perfect activity. Up to four participants can climb at the same time, racing each other to the top of our 24 feet rock wall.
For younger kids, army themed inflatables make great entertainment activities. At Xtreme Inflatables of LA, we have an army style camouflage themed inflatable bounce houses for you to add to your festivities. The kids will delight in hours of bouncing fun in this army style inflatable fun house.
When your brood gets hungry, serve up some armed forces grub at the mess hall. Hero sandwiches, star-shaped cheese wedges with medallion meat rounds and crackers, camouflage colored fruit salad, green jello, juice and camouflage vegetables and dip will satisfy their hungry appetites. Army designed cupcakes or cake will be the perfect end to a delicious meal.
At the end of the party, give them loot bags fit for a true soldier. Fill them with army activity books, purple stars, army action figures, toy tanks, camouflage mitts or shirts and story books about Veteran’s Day or military personnel.
In November, we honor our brave soldiers and the sacrifices they have made. Keep the stories live all year with a military themed birthday party.
